UPDATE, 3/27: Rachel Grimes, previously scheduled to perform on Friday, March 31 at The Kentucky Center's Bomhard Theatre, has announced her show has been cancelled due to the unexpected death of Rachel's brother.
The Kentucky Center box office will be contacting patrons and issuing refunds. Ticket buyers are asked to call 584-7777 if they have questions. There are no plans to reschedule at this time.
Grimes toured the world extensively as a solo pianist and with ground-breaking chamber group, Rachel's (Touch & Go). She is included among NPR's "100 Composers Under 40" and heralded as "one of American independent music's few truly inspired technicians" byWIRE magazine. Compositions have been commissioned by the Louisville Orchestra, Portland Cello Project, A Far Cry, Borusan Quartet and licensed to numerous film & TV networks internationally including award-winning films "La Grande Bellezza" and "Listen to Me Marlon".
