Pandora Productions is proud to be one of the first theatres in the nation to produce and present Standing on Ceremony, a bold new work from a collective of the nation's most acclaimed playwrights.
A confluence of activism and great theater, Standing on Ceremony promotes marriage equality and explores our ever evolving society through a collection of nine monologues and short plays. This mostly genial and often funny omnibus began as a series of benefit events in Los Angeles and has now taken on a life of its own as an inspiring theatrical evening. It's a celebration of the recent advances in marital rights for gay and lesbian couples and how the changing laws are changing lives.
By Mo Gaffney, Jordan Harrison, Moisés Kaufman, Neil LaBute, Wendy MacLeod, José Rivera, Paul Rudnick and Doug Wright; originally conceived by Brian Shnipper. Generously sponsored by PNC Bank Standing on Ceremony will be presented November 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 & 23 @ 7:30 p.m.; November 17 & 24 @ 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday, November 23 @ 2:00 p.m. at The Henry Clay Theatre, 604 S. 3rd St., 3rd Floor, Downtown Louisville. Advance tickets are now on sale for $18 ($20 day of show) online at http://www.PandoraProds.org or via phone at 502.216.5502.
