Love, friendship and mutual respect - with lamb and a little mint sauce - are all on the menu for THE DINNER , a warm-hearted comedy by playwright Sandy Richard that centers on the Smiths and the Jones, two gay couples who have enjoyed a long and meaningful friendship.

Unfortunately, the recent breakup of Amy and Chris after 12 years together has put a strain on the foursome for the past three months and the Jones' have grown more than a little weary of being in the middle of the split. Amy's new romance with a local DJ and a single Chris constantly moping around the Jones' home doesn't help. In an effort to get Chris off the sofa and back into the dating world, Kevin and Todd invite Lauren, a cute, single co-worker to dinner to meet her. When Amy and her new amour show up with a bottle of wine in hand and crash the dinner party unexpectedly, trouble follows as words, emotions -- and food! - flies.

Generously sponsored by Dr. Todd Lewis and Iroquois EyeCare, The Dinner is presented exclusively by Pandora Productions at the MeX Theatre at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, 501 West Main Street, Downtown Louisville. The Dinner is directed by Michael J. Drury; the cast features Ted Lesley as Todd, Sean Childress as Kevin, Amy Holt as Chris, Amy Lewis as Amy, Raven Railey as Lauren and Kristy Calman as Monica. Furniture for The Dinner kindly provided by East Broadway Home Store.
