Pandora Productions proudly kicks off its 2010-2011 season next Thursday evening, September 2, with the side-splitting musical and costume extravaganza Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly. This dream-autobiography is all about Howard, a young man who runs away from home to put on a show, this show as a matter of fact, the title of which comes from his high school career counselor Ms. Roundhole. She believes plumbing, chicken farming and selling gardening supplies are the only suitable career choices for Howard as he can only be a success in theater "when pigs fly". Brilliantly funny songs and sketches include "Not All Man" as sung by a Centaur; torch songs "cocktail style" for the love of the Republican Party's Conservative Coalition; and a small time community theater called "The Melody Barn" with coming attractions that include a new musical called Quasimodo featuring the song "I've Got a Hunch I'm In Love".

Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly is presented exclusively by Pandora Productions at the first of its new venues for the 2010-2011 season, The Victor Jory Theatre at Actors Theatre of Louisville, 316 W. Main Street between 3rd and 4th Streets, Downtown Louisville. Book and lyrics by Mark Waldrop, music by Dick Gallagher. Directed by Michael J. Drury with musical direction by Gayle King and choreography by Christephor Gilbert. The cast features Patrick Brophy, Zachary Burrell, Jason Cooper, Alex Craig and Ben Gierhart. Running time for each show is approximately two hours with intermission. Evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m., all matinees at 2:00 p.m. Individual tickets may be purchased in advance for $18, $20 day of show at www.PandoraProds.org or by calling 502-216-5502. (Note: Please contact us directly for your ticketing needs as Actors Theatre does not provide tickets for Pandora Productions.)
