Kentucky Shakespeare and Baxter Avenue Theatres are pleased to bring five films of live Shakespeare stage productions from the Stratford Festival of Ontario, Canada and the Royal Shakespeare Company of Stratford-upon-Avon England with their "Shakespeare on Stage Film Series". The theatrical productions will be screened in cinemas around the world in 2015 and Kentucky Shakespeare is proud to partner with Baxter Avenue Theatres to bring this event to Louisville.
Matt Wallace, Producing Artistic Director of Kentucky Shakespeare will host a post-show Skype teleconference with Dr. Nick Walton of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust streaming live from Stratford-upon-Avon following the March 21 and April 23 matinees from the Royal Shakespeare Company. The other showings will feature short pre-recorded video from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust created exclusively for Kentucky Shakespeare.

"These are all live stage productions from the Stratford Festival and Royal Shakespeare Company in their current season. And through our partnership with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, we'll even have the opportunity to offer an extra behind the scenes bonus Skyping live from Stratford-upon-Avon at the matinees including April 23 - Shakespeare's birthday!"
The plays to be screened this year at the "Shakespeare on Stage Film Series" from the Stratford Festival are "King Lear," "King John" and "Antony and Cleopatra" and productions from the Royal Shakespeare Company productions include "Love's Labour's Lost" and "Love's Labour's Won."
