Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts Installs POSSIBILITIES Exhibition in Lobby

The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts has a new art installation in its lobby, Possibilities by Waseem Touma. 

Waseem Touma was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. He works as a muralist, sculptor and in large scale installation. He received his BFA from Kansas City Art Institute in 2002, and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Kentucky in 2006. He is currently living in Kansas City, MO and is employed as a Regional Coordinator at Kansas City Art Institute.  In the fall, he will move to New Mexico to teach sculpture in the high school setting. 

Waseem Touma is a member of the Visual Art Faculty of The Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA), taking place June 17-July 7, 2012 at Transylvania University in Lexington.

The exhibit runs Wednesday, June 13th- Monday, August 20th.
