Jenny Wiley Music Theatre To Celebrate Alumni Reunion

The Jenny Wiley Alumni Association and Jenny Wiley Theatre is hosting an Alumni Reunion of the Jenny Wiley Theater in Prestonsburg, KY. The Jenny Wiley Theatre, located in Prestonsburg, Ky, presents productions of classic Broadway musicals and several mountings of the historical musical drama Jenny Wiley! at the Jenny Wiley Amphitheatre, located within the Jenny Wiley State Resort Park. Forty Alumni [actors, musicians, dancers, staff and crew] are scheduled to gather at the May Lodge in the Jenny Wiley State Resort Park July 20-22, 2018. The majority are from the years 1968-1976, with a few from the late 1980's to 2014. This is Jenny Wiley's 4th Alumni Reunion since 2010, each year adding new participants. The Alumni will attend a Saturday, July 21st performance of "Hairspray" at the venue.

The theater's first musical was South Pacific, performed in the summer of 1965. Some theatre alumni have later achieved success in television, film and Broadway. These include: Broadway's Michael Cerveris, Sharon Lawrence (Desperate Housewives), Broadway's James Barbour, Jim Varney (Ernest Goes to Camp), Ron Palillo (Welcome Back Kotter), Eileen Bittman Barnett (Days of Our Lives), Cynthia Bostick (As the World Turns), Lawrence Leritz, Broadway and Dance, Broadway's Mary Stout, Jeff Silbar, composer of "The Wind Beneath my Wings", Randy Jones of the Village People and Paige Davis, Broadway and host of TLC's Trading Spaces. Guest artists have included Tom Ewell (The Seven Year Itch), Christine Johnson (original Nettie, Carousel) and Tommy Kirk (Old Yeller).
