Instead of reanimating anyone named "Abby" or Puttin' On the Ritz, The Alley Theater is going Trick or Treating in October. We're foregoing our production of "Young Frankenstein" to bring performance and art of all types home to our stage. Here's the current schedule:

October 11 and 18: "Fever Dreams." Live storytelling in its purest form as local storyteller William "Tommy" Lavely presents staged readings and performances of the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Clive Barker, Ray Bradbury, and his own tales. Perfect for the Halloween season.

October 12: The Movie Meltdown podcast will host a Louisville-exclusive screening of "Chastity Bites" starring Allison Scagliotti of SyFy's "Warehouse 13." Scagliotti stars as a high school student who may be the only thing stopping of Elizabeth Bathory, the 16th-century countess who, legend says, bathed in the blood of virgins, from claiming new victims while disguised as an abstinence educator. The film will be screened with the 1980 B-movie schlock classic "Mama Dracula," followed by a live interactive recording of the Movie Meltdown Podcast.

October 19: The name says it all as we present "Visual Ipecac: The Art of Sean "S8n" and Devin McGlone," an extreme art show at 7 pm. This free event will include live music by Skull Avelance, CJ Prof, B-Rad and Pelts.

October 31: we ring in Halloween with a couple of our own favorites at The Hard Rock Cafe. We'll be performing episode one of our Sci-Friday serials, "Flash Gordon: Space Soldiers" and "Commando Cody: Zombies of the Stratosphere" to ring in Halloween. Ticketing and more information coming soon.

Tickets, showtimes and other information for all Alley in-house events is available at www.thealleytheater.org.
