The Kentucky Center has cancelled the upcoming performance of Compañia Flamenca José Porcel, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 1. Staff members from the Center's box office will call ticketholders personally to arrange the return of tickets so refunds can be issued.

Compañia Flamenca José Porcel will appear Saturday, October 1, at 8 p.m. at The Brown Theatre

Under the artistic leadership of one of the shining stars of the flamenca stage, Compañia Flamenca José Porcel explores the fiery, passionate soul of flamenca dancing with live music, stunning costumes and a band of some of the most evocative, expressive and sensual dancers currently on stage.

The company was founded in Madrid, Spain, and is among the premier dance troupes that exhibits this Andalucían art form, one rooted in Spanish tradition of rhythm, music, color and emotions.
Seville native José Porcel has been dancing since the age of thirteen and has danced around the world with such companies as the Ballet Nacional de España, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Compañia Española de Antonio Márquez.
