In only one week since the announcement of the Alley Theater's relocation to 633 West Main Street in the heart of downtown, the organization's friends and supporters have helped the theater raise $1,750 -- nearly one-third of its goal for construction of its new space.

The Alley Theater is well on its way to reaching the goal of $6,000, which will go toward the necessary demolition, construction, rewiring, plumbing and HVAC work needed to make the new Alley Theater the best Alley Theater yet.

Supporters have made tax-deductible donations at levels as simple as $1 - and every dollar helps. For their donation, all donors receive a thank you letter and recognition on Alley's Facebook and Twitter pages. Donors are eligible for great benefits at higher levels, including:

-For $65 and above, their name on one of the theater seats (limited to the first 80 donors)
-For $100 and above, their name on a special plaque in the lobby in addition to their name on a seat
-For $1,000, the chance to name the theater for one year, in addition to all of the above
-For $5,000, the chance to name the theater for three years and a lifetime SixTix card, good for 2 seats to all of the productions, in addition to all of the above

Donations can be made at https://squareup.com/market/the-alley-theater/donate-to-the-alley-theater-1.

Additionally, Alley Theater is proud to unveil the plans for its new space: a proscenium-style setup with tiered seating (see the attached designs for details.) It will be made possible by the support of local people who value local art and artists.

The Alley Theater will continue to provide updates on the progress at facebook.com/thealleytheater and @Alley_Theater on Twitter. All Alley staff and board members are available to discuss the new space and the theater's efforts going forward.
