Actors Theatre's Apprentice/Intern Company to Present SOLO MIO #3

Actors Theatre of Louisville's Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein are pleased to announce the final presentation of Solo Mios, a three-part series featuring solo work written and performed by members of the Acting Apprentice Company. Solo Mio runs November 6 at 2 p.m. and November 7 at 10 a.m. in the Victor Jory Theatre. All performances are FREE and open to the public, but reservations are required. Solo Mios are part of a full season of shows, focusing entirely on new works produced and performed by Actors Theatre's Apprentice/Intern (A/I) Company. Solo Mios showcase solo pieces written and performed by each of the 20-member Acting Apprentice Company in collaboration with a director and dramaturg. Solo Mio #3 will feature performances by Lisa Bol, Alejandro Hernandez, Yaron Lotan, Jayson Speters, Sara Turner, Kyle Whalen and Park Williams.

Now in its 44th year, and currently under the direction of Michael Legg, the Apprentice/Intern Company is one of the nation's foremost training programs. Annually, Actors Theatre auditions and interviews more than 2,000 artists, artisans and administrators. This year, 20 apprentices and 19 interns were selected for the highly-coveted spots in this program at the Tony Award-winning theatre and home of the Humana Festival of New American Plays. Designed to serve as a bridge between undergraduate study and a professional career, members of the company receive world-class training from some of the most accomplished theatre professionals in the country.
