Unplugged with Susan Egan at California School of the Arts - San Gabriel Valley

A night of Broadway awaits as California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley’s (CSArts-SGV) bright and talented students collaborate with musical theater, television and film star Susan Egan for the school’s inaugural fundraising celebration. “Unplugged with Susan Egan” is a cabaret-style show featuring the musical talents of Egan alongside 17 CSArts-SGV students as they perform songs from popular musicals and films including “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Wicked” and more.

Egan has headlined on Broadway in the title role of “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” won critical acclaim as Sally Bowles in “Cabaret,” and received the Tony Award and Drama Desk nomination for Best Actress as the original Belle in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.” Egan is a seasoned voice actress who has starred as Megara in “Hercules,” Lin in “Spirited Away” and recently, Rose Quartz in the hit Disney cartoon “Steven Universe.”

This special evening is not only a unique performance opportunity for CSArts-SGV students, but is also a great way for families and guests to contribute to the arts programs at the school.

“Unplugged with Susan Egan” takes place in the state-of-the-art Barrett Hall at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music on Saturday, May 12, 2018, for two performances: at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. A silent auction and cocktail reception for all guests begins at 6:15 p.m. Casual cocktail attire is requested.
