LOS ANGELES — FCP Theatre Group will be bringing “Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down,” a Musical Comedy with music by Michael Rupert and book and lyrics by Jerry Colker, to The Broadwater Black Box (6322 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038) on the first two weekends of January 2023. Tickets are $25. For more information, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/three-guys-naked-from-the-waist-down-tickets-478968336187
This Drama Desk award winning musical takes you back to the 80’s as three stand-up comics go for broke and try to make it big, setting their sights on the Johnny Carson show. Some people might say the fate of the future lies in their hands. Others might not care enough to say anything at all. Armed with only their moderate wit and plentiful closets, they've got a hard road ahead of themselves, and no Netflix specials to bail them out.
The performance will feature direction by Phyllis Katz of the Groundlings Theatre and School and actors Elliot White, Harry White, and Will Fulginiti.
This is FCP Theatre Group’s third production, following a successful month-long run of David Mamet’s “No One Will Be Immune…” at the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival, and a weekend run of the Sondheim musical “Putting It Together,” which was performed as a tribute to the late composer on his birthday last spring. FCP Theatre Group is a Los Angeles based theatre company, founded by graduates of David Mamet’s Atlantic Theater Company’s full time conservatory. “FCP” stands for Foster Cat Productions, inspired by the artistic team’s love for fostering sick and stray cats and finding them forever homes.
