The Moving Art Collective presents Thirteen’s Spring, written by Amanda Jane Shank, a poetic take on The Diary of Anne Frank and the stories of families affected by the Holocaust. A delicate coming of age piece, it dwells on the sense of interruption felt by so many individuals and families in that moment in history.
Inspired by Anne Frank’s earliest diary entries before she and her family disappeared into hiding, Thirteen's Spring is a gestural exploration of both the individual stories of those persecuted and the awful magnitude of the Holocaust, recognizing its consequences and the number of lives lost. Occurring in an atmosphere of nostalgia, this play is an homage to the interrupted lives of that period.
The Moving Art Collective will present this at The Actor's Company, Let Live Theater, in Los Angeles for a limited time during The Hollywood Fringe Festival on the following dates and times:
Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at 7:00 pm
