MUSE/IQUE presents a celebration of the music of the Harlem Renaissance, led by Artistic and Music Director Rachael Worby with the MUSE/IQUE Orchestra. The program features Broadway veteran Kecia Lewis, R&B vocalist Sy Smith, tap dancer Leo Manzari, and the DC6 Singers Collective, exploring the jazz, blues, and theatrical music that defined a transformative era of Black artistic brilliance. Timeless songs associated with Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, and Cab Calloway are brought to life in this outdoor and indoor concert experience. Performances take place on June 2 and June 3 at 7:30 pm.
