The Spy Who Went Into Rehab offers a comedic exploration of a James Bond-like hero grappling with his destructive habits as he undergoes rehabilitation. Playwright Gregg Ostrin presents a story where traditional notions of masculinity collide with modern recovery, as the protagonist navigates self-awareness surrounded by a vibrant group of fellow recovering addicts. Featuring a dynamic cast led by Satiar Pourvasei as Simon and Jill Renner as Stella, this play highlights the humor in the struggle against outdated ideals. Directed by Cyndy Fujikawa, the production runs at Pacific Resident Theatre until August 25, 2024.
