The Music Center presents a unique art residency, exploring the intersection of ancestral practices and AI technology. From August 29 to November 3, 2024, participants can engage in two innovative experiences: One Who Looks at the Cup, created by Mashinka Firunts Hakopian, Atlas Acopian, and Lara Sarkissian, immerses guests in the fortune-telling method of tasseography with AI-generated predictions. Concurrently, Lauren Lee McCarthy and Kyle McDonald's Voice in My Head invites attendees to hear a cloned, real-time version of their own voice through earbuds, prompting a reflective exploration of self.
