The Bauhaus Project is a world premiere theatrical event by Tom Jacobson presented in two parts by Open Fist Theatre Company. The play explores the history of the Bauhaus School through the perspectives of five Southern California art students, who embody various historical figures from the movement while using their disciplines in environmental design, music, fine art, graphic design, and theater. Audiences can experience the school's founding in Weimar and its subsequent relocations to Dessau and Berlin amid growing Nazi scrutiny. Performances are running until August 25, with each part reflecting significant themes and events surrounding this influential art institution.
