Theatre of NOTE is thrilled to announce the upcoming production of “The AllStore,” written by Evan Marshall and directed by Maddie Downes. The story of a budding relationship between Petra, an aspiring poet, and Andrea, a cage fighter. The women work at a big box store to survive as they chase their dreams, but when conditions deteriorate, Petra attempts to organize the employees against their corrupt management, sparking a confrontation of momentous consequence.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, rising inflation, and recent labor strikes, the relationship between people and their jobs is being put into question. What do we owe our place of employment? How should we protect ourselves from exploitation? How can we maintain our humanity in a world that seems to care only for profit? “The AllStore” explores this territory and more.
