Kentwood Players presents Next to Normal, the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical with music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, running May 8 through June 6, 2026 at the Westchester Playhouse in Los Angeles. The musical centers on Diana Goodman, a wife and mother living with bipolar disorder, and the impact her illness has on her family. The cast features Deonte Allen, Elizabeth A. Bouton Summerer, Nico Fisher, Ben Hess, Sam Papier, and Elliott Plunkett, under the direction of Kirk Larson with music direction by Catherine Rahm. Note that this production contains strong language and deals with difficult emotional content.
