Singer and songwriter Mon Laferte is one of the most revered, respected, and beloved musicians in Chile today. Her music brings the sonic traditions of her native country and Mexico, where she lives, with the maximalist punch of globally minded pop music, while her lyrics powerfully address the issues facing women, people of color, and the impoverished in Latin America. Defiantly outspoken, shes also the winner of three Latin Grammysincluding one for Best Alternative Song for her 2017 collaboration with Juanes, Amrrameand is the most highly decorated Chilean artist in the history of the awards. Her most recent album, Seis, was written in the mountains of Tepoztln, Mexico, and is inspired both by the Mexican singer Chavela Vargas, whose songs freely celebrated love between women, and the 2019 protests against human rights abuses in Chile. Dont miss the striking Walt Disney Concert Hall debut from one of Latin Americas boldest musicians.
