MORNING'S AT SEVEN at Lonny Chapman Theatre

The Group Rep presents “Morning’s at Seven” written by Paul Osborn, directed by Doug Engalla, produced by Aly York for the Group Rep at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood, CA. The play runs June 9 – July 16, 2023. No performances the weekend of June 16, 17 and 18.

The plot focuses on Cora and Ida Gibbs, who have lived next door to each other most of their lives along with Aaronetta and neighboring Esther; all four Gibbs sisters are an open book to each other. Husbands not included.  Into the fray comes Myrtle Brown, perpetually engaged to Ida’s son Homer.  But Homer can’t seem to pop the question. Taking matters into her own hands, Myrtle finally gets a proposal by compelling Homer to fly the nest. Sort of.

The play runs June 9 – July 17, 2023. Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm.  Sundays at 2 pm. No shows the weekend of June 16, 17 and 18.  After the Matinee Talkbacks with cast and staff  Sunday, June 11 & Sunday, June 25. General Admission $35.00. Seniors & Students with ID $30.00.
