The cult classic returns with bite. This gleefully gruesome musical comedy by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid) brings its beloved blend of doo-wop, dark humor, and Faustian bargains to Glendale’s historic theatre-in-the-round. When down-on-his-luck florist Seymour discovers a mysterious plant with a taste for blood, his life—and love life—take a sudden turn. But as the plant grows, so do the consequences. Featuring iconic numbers like “Suddenly, Seymour,” “Skid Row,” and “Feed Me (Git It),” this razor-sharp satire of ambition, romance, and morality continues to thrill audiences with its perfect mix of camp and craft. Presented in the round, The Nocturne Theatre’s immersive production invites audiences to experience the madness up close from every angle—no fourth wall, no safe distance.
The Nocturne Theatre is at 324 North Orange Street, Glendale, CA.
