This in-depth panel discussion in our virtual salon will focus on two remarkable women, biographers Margaret B. Wilkerson and Lynell George. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Stephanie Leigh Batiste, Associate Professor of Black Studies and English at the University of California, Santa Barbara and Director of the Hemispheric Souths Research Initiative. Both women will discuss their own stories and the stories in their books about two other remarkable women, Octavia E. Butler and Lorraine Hansberry.
