Theatre Ten Presents: A New Original Production “Frankensteins’ Dinner Party” Los Angeles, CA – [10/8/24] – Theater Ten, an innovative theater company, is proud to announce the launch of its latest avant-garde production, ”Frankensteins’ Dinner Party.” Celebrating both original and classic theater with imaginative storytelling and inspiring performances, Theatre Ten is set to captivate audiences with this unique take on a timeless tale by Mary Shelley.
Written by playwright Lynde Houck, “Frankensteins’ Dinner Party” features a 13- character ensemble set within the eerie confines of the monster’s castle. The play follows Frankenstein, as he strives to prove his worth to his creator and father, by attempting to create the “perfect human.” During a celebratory dinner party, family secrets are revealed, tensions escalate as unexpected guests become embroiled in the madness. In development for three and a half years, “Frankensteins’ Dinner Party” has been workshopped in collaboration with talented comedic actors from our Los Angeles theater community. Drawing inspiration from Commedia Dell’arte archetypes and utilizing vocal and physical viewpoints, the play promises a unique and engaging theatrical experience pushing the boundaries of traditional storytelling.
Producer and Playwright, Lynde Houck says “We are thrilled to bring ‘Frankensteins’ Dinner Party’ to life on stage. “This production showcases the immense talents of our dedicated cast and crew, and we can’t wait to share this theatrical spectacle with audiences,” adds director Pierre Adeli. Don’t miss the electrifying premiere of “Frankensteins’ Dinner Party”, where drama, comedy, and chaos collide for a night to remember.
