FOUR CHORDS AND A GUN is an entirely original play that focuses on the period in 1979-1980 when the Ramones – with four albums already recorded – work with legendary and controversial music producer Phil Spector to record their fifth album, End Of The Century. This period in music history is significant because it represents a creative and personal shift in the band and the individuals that were a part of it at the time; Joey Ramone find an unusual confidant and father-figure in Spector, all while losing his girlfriend, Linda, to his bandmate, Johnny. The Ramones are in need of a breakout from their local punk dwellings – and Phil Spector is equally thirsty to reclaim the success he once had but has eluded him for years.
