Cold Sassy Tree at Canyon High School Performing Arts Center

Santa Clarita's Mission Opera opens its 7th season with Cold Sassy Tree, an American opera in English that brings to life the rural South in 1906. Based on Olive Ann Burns' novel, the production captures the challenges and changes in a small town, offering a poignant and engaging portrayal of American history and culture. The performance features a multimedia design on a 48’ LED screen, creatively blending traditional theater with contemporary video elements. With a live orchestra adding to the experience, the show runs for 2 hours and 25 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission.
