CalArts Center for New Performance (CNP) will present the World premier of Etta and Ella on the Upper West Side by legendary playwright Adrienne Kennedy. Etta & Ella Harrison are talented academics on the Upper West Side – as well as sisters and rivals, on the verge of destroying each other. Director Monty Cole employs a cinematic approach to this intricate blend of monologue, dialogue and voiceover, in a work that is part experimental play, part narrative thriller.
The performances will take place at REDCAT in downtown Los Angeles (located within the Walt Disney Concert Hall complex) on February 23 to 25, 2023 at 8:30pm. Tickets are available at REDCAT’s website: https://www.redcat.org/events/2023/etta-and-ella
