Baby Bipolar is a solo show created and performed by Maria Mainelli, directed by Fiona Campbell, making its West Coast premiere at Hollywood Fringe 2026. The show traces Mainelli's first five years following a bipolar 1 diagnosis during the Covid-19 pandemic, moving through grief, manic moments, depressive episodes, and the experience of navigating an often absurd mental health system. Equal parts comedy and tragedy, the show blends the personal and the comedic to find levity in life's heaviest moments. Mainelli, a Helen Hayes Award winner, brings her background in solo performance to this 60-minute show running June 7–21 at The Hobgoblin Playhouse.
