LOS ANGELES — Producer Jan McAdoo (The Trial of the Chicago 7), in collaboration with FCP Theatre Group, brings “An Evening of One-Acts by Ethan Coen” to The Hudson Guild Theatre (6539 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038) for a limited run this September and October 2023. Tickets are $20. For more information, visit https://www.onstage411.com/oneactsethan
This 60-minute selection of one-acts, written by Ethan Coen of the Coen Brothers (No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, etc…), centers on the condition of “neuroses.” Or, to put it in more fun terms: disheveled men causing issues for the people around them, whether it be in the workplace, in the home, or in a meta-twist, on the very stage in front of the audience! Questions are raised, hardly any are answered. Not because of some greater cosmic power, but just… because.
The performance will feature actors Harry White, Scott Thiede, Cooper McAdoo, Ava Delaney, Will Fulginiti, Elliot White, and Isabella Costa.
Jan McAdoo, founder of MacPac Entertainment, has extensive experience producing film and fostering storytelling both on stage and screen. Recently she worked on Aaron Sorkin’sThe Trial of the Chicago 7. Other projects include the Tony-nominated play End of the Rainbow. FCP Theatre Group has established itself as a reputable independent theatre troupe of young and upcoming actors dedicated to putting on lesser-known works of great playwrights and storytellers. Most recently, they put up Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down, directed by Groundlings founding member Phyllis Katz. "FCP" stands for Foster Cat Productions, inspired by the artistic team's love for fostering sick and stray cats and finding them forever homes (over 20, and counting!)
