A fractured American history lesson bends the truth, boosts the laughs and breaks your heart. Time is running short. Juan Jose is frantically cramming for the U.S. Citizenship exam. Over the course of one magical night he receives some hysterical help from a rogue’s gallery of American luminaries like Teddy Roosevelt, Sacagawea, Jackie Robinson and Bob Dylan.

The nation’s premiere Chicano-Latino performance troupe, Culture Clash (Chavez Ravine; Water & Power; Aristophanes’ Peace) are like mambo-infused Marx Brothers. With American Night, they turn theatre – and history – on its ear.
