Shakespeare's masterful tragicomedy All's Well that Ends Well will be brought to delicate, bittersweet life by the Porters of Hellsgate. Returning to the director's chair is Artistic Director Will Block. All's Well that Ends Well will be the Porter's 32nd production in their journey towards finishing the canon. Helena loves Bertram. Bertram doesn't love Helena...like that. However, Bertram has been promised to Helena by the King of France, grateful to the young woman for saving his life. Desperate to escape a marriage he doesn't want, Bertram flees to the Florentine wars. What follows is a story of deception, forgiveness, and unexpected love as Helena, Bertram, and their community learn to appreciate the gifts that have always been just under their nose. Artistic Director Will Block says of the season: "Our 2023 season is a Season of Aspiration. This story presents euphoric highs, heartbreaking lows, and the particular and universal crossroads each of us meets when our lives don't turn out how we envisioned. How do we hold on to hope and joy in those moments? Is it possible to? And will those moments make or unmake us? Join us at the theatre, and we'll find out together."
