World Premiere of CATLADY Opens Today

LOFT ENSEMBLE announces opening night of their world premiere production of CATLADY by Kevin Kelly & Nathan Shoop. Performances begin with opening night June 24th at 8 pm.

When a woman begins hoarding feral cats in order to cope with the stress of her missing husband, it isn't long before the cats have to decide who lives and who dies when there isn't enough food to eat. The world premiere by Kevin Kelly and Nathan Shoop explores the complex issue of wealth distribution and the socio-political manipulation that influences it.

The Cast includes: Joe Bills, Raymond Donahey, Tyler Grant Fairbank, Dayeanne Hutton, Marc Leclerc, Rachel Lemos, Lisa Anne Nicolai, Sarah Nislen, Danielle Power, Ben Rawls and Nathan Shoop

Loft Ensemble is one of Los Angeles's up and coming resident theatre companies, consistently offering some of the most high energy and ground breaking productions in the area. In its young history, Loft has won several awards including this year's Valley Theate Award for Best Actress in a Play, two Ovation Awards in 2015, Best Ensemble at the 2013 New York International Fringe Festival, and back to back Producers' Encore Awards at the Hollywood Fringe Festival for 2015 and 2016. Two of Loft's 2016 productions earned a combined five nominations for BroadwayWorld Awards.
