What would happen if Chekhov's Three Sisters made it to Moscow?...They'd become the Kardashians. Classic realism meets reality television in the World Premiere production of dark comedy Keeping Up With The Prozorovs by Lucy Gillespie.

Depressed by the bleakness of life in a Russian small town at the turn of the century, sisters Olga, Masha and Irina pack up and move to Moscow. Back in the glittering city of their youth, they search for love, gaiety and purpose. But can Moscow truly make them happy? An outrageously funny peek into the exploits and privileged private lives of three sisters with high hopes. Every day is a chaotic mix of fame, business, lip filler and vodka!

Set in Moscow-as-Los Angeles, this hilarious coming-of-age cautionary tale puts a millennial spin on Chekhovian despair, while showcasing the ugly price of female ambition. Playwright Lucy Gillespie is best known as the creator of cult hit series Unicornland, which featured on Rolling Stone, NPR's All Things Considered, and which Sex at Dawn author Christopher Ryan praised as "the best representation of sex on screen I've ever seen". Director Katie Lindsay has helmed productions Off-Broadway and regionally, and is co-founder of the The Habitat Theater, a New York-based company "dedicated to women's stories and female practitioners". The cast includes Luke Forbes* (Crown Heights, High Maintenance), Chloe Dworkin (Masters of Sex), Lauren White (Lego Batman, Ninjago), Janai Dionne (Upcoming pilot Very Smart Brothas), Christopher Soren Kelly (Infinity Chamber), Nikita Chaudhry, and Fabianne Meyer.

The play will be performed as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2018 at the McCadden Theater, 1157 N. McCadden Place, Los Angeles 90038. A preview will be held on Sunday, June 3rd at 2pm, with performances on Saturday June 9th at 11.55pm, Saturday June 16th at 8pm, Sunday June 17th at 9pm, and Saturday June 23rd at 10pm.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, available for purchase here.
