As we move into the second half of January (how time flies when you're havin' FUN!), I hope you are making plans to attend some of the upcoming performances that are happening in one of our California Central Coast live performance venues over the next several weeks!

Kelrik Productions (www.kelrikproductions.com), after a brief hiatus, has decided to continue producing here on the Central Coast, announcing its next production, Alice's Wondrous Adventure, January 22 - February 6.

A little girl named Alice follows a White Rabbit into a Wonderland where nothing is as expected.  There she encounters a crusty Duchess, the Mad Hatter, the diabolical Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire-Cat, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, and the other strange inhabitants of Wonderland.  Join Alice as she embarks on a series of adventures sprung from the pen of Lewis Carroll, one of the few adults ever successfully to enter the children's world of make-believe:  a Wonderland where the impossible becomes possible and the heights of adventure are limited only by the depth of our imaginations.

Alice has been delighting audiences of all ages since the late 1800s.  Her adventures are the rare literary treasure that truly appeals to all ages.  Kids will relish the sheer absurdity of Alice and her friends, while adults will discover that the children they once were are still alive and well in the grown-ups they have become.

Whether encountering Alice for the first time or renewing acquaintance with an old friend, follow her down the rabbit hole to for a fun-filled family adaptation that runs approximately one hour, making it ideal for younger children.  Table seating allows audience members to interact with the cast during Alice's Tea Party (included with admission), where cookies and "tea" will be served.  Because seating is limited, reservations are strongly recommended.

Alice's Wondrous Adventure will perform at Unity, 1490 Southwood Drive in San Luis Obispo, from January 22 - February 6.  Please note the family-friendly performance schedule: Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2PM as well as Saturday evening performances at 7PM. Ticket prices are $14 for Children and $18 for Adults and may be charged by phone at (805) 543-PLAY.

SLO Little Theatre's (www.slolittletheatre.org) Academy of Creative Theatre's production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe will run through January 31.  Auditions for And the Sea Shall Provide - A Celtic Musicale will be held on January 22 (performances March 10-20).  Catch a night of live music by The Finches, Sparrows Gate, and Jameson Swanagon on January 23.  Auditions for The Gin Game will be held February 1 & 2 (performances April 8 - May 1).  A readers' theatre production of The Voysey Inheritance will be presented on February 4, and THIS IS ROCK n' ROLL! takes to the stage February 18 - March 20.

So, whatever else you may have planned for the weeks ahead - I hope you will be attending a couple of shows and supporting the performing arts here on the California Central Coast ... we got a whole lot goin' on!
