WIR Productions presents the world premiere musical, THE HOUSE OF FINNEGAN, by Bill Rich and Steve Kopandy, directed by Alissa-Nicole Koblentz with Musical Direction, Arrangements and Orchestrations by Bonnie Janofsky October 18-28, 2012, at the Monroe Forum in the historic El Portal Theatre, NOHO Arts District, North Hollywood, Calif.
The House Of Finnegan is an original work by Bill Rich and composer Steve Kopandy. The comedy/drama with music and song combines recollections from the early days of musical theater, the golden age of television and motion pictures with the reality of the present era.
The House of Finnegan’s characters are in part from another era trying to cope with both the aging process and the modern world. As they are deal with their show business and real world pasts they each find the task of being current is not always easy. Whether vocationally or personally not just the sweet is recalled but all that was bitter and thought exorcised from the memory can still haunt many years later.
Jerry Finnegan and Susan Carter once had Broadway and forbidden romance in the palm of their hands until fate pulled them apart. Forty years later they rediscover each other. Through the eyes and heart of Jerry's nine-year old granddaughter we see the present is no more than the past and the only thing in the end, (which counts) is family, true love and friendship. The House Of Finnegan is a little bit about us all.
With a cast of 22 and an orchestra of eight, this World Premiere Musical is the culmination of a life long dream for playwright Bill Rich and his creative team.
