PACIFIC RESIDENT THEATRE presents a developmental workshop production of a new play, WILD BOY, written by Oliver Goldstick ("Ugly Betty," Dinah Was), based on the critically-acclaimed memoir "Not Even Wrong" by Paul Collins and directed by Oliver Goldstick. WILD BOY features Kevin Rahm (Lee Dumott on "Desperate Housewives"), Dana Dewes (Rocket to the Moon, Big Love), Katy Selverstone (Big Love, Mating Dance of the Werewolf), Molly Schaffer (Tonight at 8:30) and Bud Leslie (Dinah Was). WILD BOY is being produced by Sarah Newman-Martins. WILD BOY will begin performances on Friday, June 5 and run through Sunday, July 26 at PACIFIC RESIDENT THEATRE, 703 Venice Blvd in Venice. OLIVER GOLDSTICK (Director/Playwright) is currently developing ASSISTED LOVING, a new series for NBC based on the critically-acclaimed book by Bob Morris. He has written and produced many series for television, including "Lipstick Jungle," "Ugly Betty," "Desperate Housewives," "Popular," "Everwood," "American Dreams," "Caroline In The City," and "Coach." His films for television include "Plainsong," starring Aidan Quinn and Rachel Griffiths, the CAMY-award winning "Crossroads," and Emmy-nominated "Bailey's Mistake," starring Linda Hamilton and Joan Plowright. Goldstick's television work has earned him a Golden Globe, Writers Guild Award, GLAAD award, the NAACP Image Award and a Peabody. His Off-Broadway musical play, Dinah Was, based on the life of rhythm-and-blues legend Dinah Washington, received Obie, Barrymore, and Jefferson awards, and was later broadcast on National Public Radio with L.A. Theatre Works. Mr. Goldstick's plays have been produced at venues across the country, including the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Arena Stage and Dallas Theatre Center. He has been a member of Pacific Resident Theatre since 1989. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Columbia University, Goldstick's illustrations have appeared in Quarto and The Columbia Review.Videos
