Actress/singer/stage star Vanessa Williams has been confirmed to host the first live theater screening of a Los Angeles Philharmonic concert led by Music Director Gustavo Dudamel, Sunday, January 9, 2011, at 2 p.m. Pacific/5 p.m. Eastern.
The screenings are produced as a result of collaboration between the LA Phil and NCM Fathom, a division of National CineMedia (NCM), and Cineplex Entertainment. "I'm thrilled to be working with the LA Phil on this exciting new venture to bring classical music to a larger audience," said Williams.LA Phil LIVE with Gustavo Dudamel from Walt Disney Concert Hall is an immersive sight and sound experience, featuring full concert performances with the LA Phil and Dudamel, broadcast live from the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall.
