On Friday, August 26th, the Give Back Hollywood Foundation, a non-profit organization that connects charities to celebrities, will host a benefit for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, inviting celebrities and tastemakers to the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles for an afternoon of music and awareness. The event, which runs from 11AM-4PM, will be hosted by Vanessa Simmons with performances by The Braxton Sisters, Kalenna of Diddy-Dirty Money and Luke James, as well as appearances from some of today's biggest stars and students from VH1 Save The Music Foundation grant recipient schools.

The Give Back Hollywood Foundation, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation whose mission is to help the entertainment community "give back" and raise money and awareness for other non-profits, has spent the past few years successfully raising funds for a variety of worthwhile causes including Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Dogs in Danger and the Children's Burn Foundation, amongst many others. The event will benefit yet another incredible partner in the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education programs in America's public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child's complete education.

"We are thrilled to be able to help an organization as important as the VH1 Save The Music Foundation and honored to have Vanessa Simmons hosting our event as well as Kalenna, Luke James and The Braxton Sisters performing with us for such a great cause," said Todd Krim, President & Founder of the Give Back Hollywood Foundation. "We hope we can do our part to help ensure that no child be deprived of the opportunity to experience a complete education, which includes music."

Vanessa Simmons will shed light on the importance of music education as she hosts this year's event. Simmons is a star of "MTV's Run's House" and "Daddy's Girls" and the co-creator of the Pastry Kicks shoes. She will be presenting the performers for the evening, music artists Kalenna, The Braxton Sisters and Luke James. Kalenna is recently known as 1/3 of the group "Diddy Dirty Money" along with Dawn Richard and Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs. She released Last Train To Paris with the group and has performed on the 2010 BET Awards, the American Music Awards, American Idol, the cross-country Coming Home Tour and will release music from her solo project this month. The Braxton Sisters are made up of Traci, Tamar, Towanda, Toni and Trina. The sisters star in the popular new reality show "Braxton Family Values" on WE TV. Luke James is an R&B singer/songwriter signed to New Age Rock Stars / Mercury Records / Island Def Jam who co-wrote Chris Brown's "Crawl" and has penned songs for Justin Bieber ("That Should Be Me") and Britney Spears ("Kill The Lights"), among others. In between performances, music will be provided by international DJ Josh LeCash.

"We are extremely grateful to Give Back Hollywood for including us in this incredible event," said Paul Cothran, Executive Director of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. "Their generosity will help us continue to raise awareness about the importance of music education in our nation's schools."
