Universal Studios Hollywood(SM) introduces "The Universal Hollywood Getaway," offering visitors significant savings this summer of up to 40% on vacation packages at five area hotels, located within a five mile radius of "The Entertainment Capital of L.A.(SM)"
Partnering hotels include the Sheraton Universal and Hilton Universal City (both within walking distance), The Sportsmen's Lodge Hotel, The Beverly Garland Holiday Inn and the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa.
Packages include hotel stay and 7-day unlimited admission ticket to Universal Studios Hollywood, as well as free breakfast for two each day, free hotel parking and free round trip shuttle service from the hotels to Universal Studios Hollywood. Transportation from the Renaissance Hotel is not provided, but the hotel is located just one subway stop away on the Red Line.

Universal Studios Hollywood is providing more reasons for visitors to experience "The Entertainment Capital of L.A." this summer with the introduction of new special events, musical entertainment and enhanced attractions.
Beginning mid-June, the enhanced Studio Tour, newly equipped with state-of-the-art HD monitors and a digital playback system, will become "mobile movie theatres" as the signature attraction rolls through new film sets and locations, reconstructed to filmmakers' specifications after a fire damaged a backlot section last year. The locations are already buzzing with motion picture production activity.
Beginning July 1, the new attraction, "The Creature from the Black Lagoon -- a Raging Rockin' Show," will light up the stage with all-original songs, spectacular stage effects and Broadway-level production values.
Visitors also won't want to miss the theme park's most popular thrill rides, including "The Revenge of the Mummy(SM) -- The Ride," "Jurassic Park -- The Ride" and enormously popular "The Simpsons Ride(TM)" which celebrates its one year anniversary and the 20th anniversary of its TV debut with a "Simpsons Summer Celebration" event that will be capture the spirit of Springfield and the carnival atmosphere of Krusty the Klown with daily festivities.
The long-awaited "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" has begun production on a new sound stage located on the Universal Studios lot. The Studio Tour will offer guests a close-up view of the new stage during non-production days. And Emmy(TM) Award-winning host Conan O'Brien has added his off-beat commentary to the Studio Tour.
