USVAA Veterans Writing Workshop New Works Will Hold Presentation at The Actors Gang

In honor of our nation's veterans and Veterans Day 2017, please join us for the USVAA Veterans Writing Workshop New Works Presentation at The Actors Gang (9070 Venice Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232), Tuesday, November 7th at 7:00 p.m.

 

The USVAA Veterans Writing Workshop New Works Presentation is supported by Sony Pictures Entertainment and The Actors Gang with additional support from The Writers Guild Foundation, The Culver Studios and New Filmmakers Los Angeles.

USVAA New Works program is a staged presentation of six scenes and selected readings from television and movie scripts, novels and memoirs written by veterans participating in our monthly veteran writers' workshop. Each scene will be performed and directed by accomplished actors and directors - many of them veterans.

The performance will be followed by an audience Q&A moderated by Timothy Wurtz and Sam Wolfson and a reception at the theater.

The 2017 Veterans Day Program features works by: Sam Ameen, Sylvia Bowersox, BrIan Hanson, Sydney Hoffner, Melissa Ritz, Andy Wellens.  The USVAA are the recipients of the Phi Beta Kappa Society's Arts and Sciences Award for Cities of Distinction 2017

Cast members include Monique Edwards, Gary Cole, Kim Estes, Stephanie Maura Sanchez, Nadege August, Mark Valley, Christopher Sweeney, James Bane and others to be announced.

Directors for individual works include, Aimee Morgan, Melissa Ritz, Carolyn Allport, David Fofi, Sam Wolfson and Timothy Wurtz.
