US Martial Arts Fest 2011 To Be Held at Redondo Beach PAC, 11/5

The United Martial Arts Committee, established under the Shin Koyamada Foundation, and The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles present "United States Martial Arts Festival 2011," supported by Japanese American Cultural & Community Center, at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 5, 2011at 12pm, doors open 11am.

Martial Arts is an extensive system of codified practices and traditions of combat, practiced for a variety of reasons including self-defense, competition, physical health, and fitness, as well as mental and spiritual development. This event will showcase the 

beautiful form of Martial Arts as well as panel discussions covering topics of Japanese Martial Arts.

In the theatre lobby, you will experience the Japanese cultural art forms of SADO (Japanese tea ceremony) by the Omotesenke school, KADO (Japanese flower arrangement) by the Sogetsu school, and SHODO (Japanese calligraphy) by the United States Shodo Association.

The Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center is located at 1935 Manhattan Beach Boulevard, Redondo Beach. Ticket prices are VIP $30, Orchestra $15, Terrace $10*

*Prices are for Martial Arts Performance Only. Panel Discussion and Japanese Arts program in Lobby are free admission.
