Bridge Falls Entertainment (Steven Roche and Paul Belsito), Sheena Metal Productions, Christine Pynn, Jay Hopkins and Susan Goldstein have announced the West Coast premiere of Unauthorized! A Bad Dream on Elm Avenue at the Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles. Created, written, and composed by Ryan Mercy and Christopher W. Barnes and directed by Barnes, the production will play seven performances only from October 7-16.

The production will star American Horror Story's Erika Ervin along with (in alphabetical order) Cy Creamer, Jeff Locker, Sarah Mullis, Desiree Nash, and Amber Petty. The co-producer is Khela Dunn.

A terrifying presence is targeting the teenagers of Elm Avenue in their dreams. Will one enterprising young lady find a way to escape? Maybe. Will she sing about it? Definitely. From the creators of That 80s Time Travel Movie, Steel Petunias, Ghostblasters, and The Hungry Hungry Games, comes A Bad Dream on Elm Avenue, a new unauthorized musical parody of Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street. The wildly popular Unauthorized! series takes well known movies, selected by and voted on by its fans, and turns them into fully realized musical parodies with completely original books, music and lyrics.

Unauthorized! A Bad Dream on Elm Avenue will play seven performances only as follows: Friday, October 7 (opening night) at 8pm and Saturday, October 8 at 8pm; Sunday, October 9 at 7pm; Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 at 8pm; and Sunday, October 16 at 3pm and 7pm. The running time is 75 minutes with no intermission. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased online at www.abaddreamonelmavenue.brownpapertickets.com or by phone at (800) 838-3006.

The Atwater Village Theatre is located at 3269 Casitas Avenue, in Los Angeles, 90039.
