Triumvirate Pi Theatre presents two free performances of its family puppet piece Autumn Leaves on Saturday, March 28 in conjunction with the Getty Center's full-day interactive Family Festival, which is inspired by the exhibition Tales in Sprinkled Gold: Japanese Lacquer for European Collectors.

Autumn Leaves is the story of a farmer sending his son to war. Told with Bunraku puppets, shadow puppets, taiko, and bamboo flute, the performance is reminiscent of traditional Japanese Bunraku theater but with a western flair.

That same weekend, Tri-Pi Theatre presents the final four performance of Does He Know?, an experimental performance piece for puppetry aficionados and "out of the box" theater fans. Eschewing more mundane forms of puppet technique, Tri-Pi Theatre melds a one character solo piece with the visual excitement of shadow play and object puppetry to tell an adult story about broken relationships and the search for our own path to love. Performances of Does He Know? take place on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 at 4 pm and 7pm at the Electric Lodge, 1416 Electric Avenue in Venice. For reservations and to purchase tickets, call (310) 823-0710 or www.brownpaperticket.com.

Triumvirate Pi Theatre is dedicated to producing provocative live theater that breaks down perceived barriers of race, gender and disability for all Los Angeles theater artists and audiences. To this end, Tri-Pi presents all its shows in wheelchair accessible facilities and provides captioning for the hearing impaired at every performance to ensure equal access, setting a unique standard in Los Angeles small theater. Does He Know? is being produced at the uniquely "green" Electric Lodge, which is completely powered by solar panels and is committed to grassroots work and community programs.

Performances of Autumn Leaves take place on Saturday, March 28 at 10:45 am and 2:10 pm in the Museum Lecture hall. The Getty Center is located at 1200 Getty Center Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90049.
