This Thanksgiving Joseph Lorenzo Wise is BACHELOR #1

Joseph Lorenzo Wise is "BACHELOR #1" in new music video "Hollywood Fantasy Love".

In 1986 Joseph Lorenzo tried living in Los Angeles for the winter, while subletting his West 55th Street apartment in New York. Things developed quickly, he got an agent, the late Lil Cumber and he got picked to be on a television show, "The Dating Game". "I was just interviewing for anything and everything that came along, I never really thought about being on the show, or winning." Wise says.

After an interview with the casting director, Wise got a call to come on down and be a Bachelor on the popular dating show. At that time the show was hosted by Broadway star "Elaine Joyce". Having a female host was really progressive, Wise explains. "I saw Elaine Joyce-Simon, (she's married to Neil Simon now) on Broadway in "Sugar", way back in 73, who woulda thunk that I would be on Broadway in 1978". Wise played one of the singing dancing Porters in the original production of "On the 20th Century".

Wise won the competition and was selected to go on a Dream Date to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands with his "Dream Date", Seneca Giles. It was eight months later before the actual date and Wise had returned to New York to save his apartment which had been abandoned by the sublease tenant.

"This music video is thirty years in the making. The footage is from the live taping so you hear the real questions and answers from contestant Wise. This is so amazing, I never thought about making a music video out of it, but after the Las Vegas tragedy, something spoke to me and said do "Bachelor #1 for the Holidays".

"I wanted to do a something that would really make people smile and laugh and dance and right now "in these turbulent times." I thought this is what we need for the 2017 Holidays, something silly and fun and "Romantic". After my "Eres Tu" release in June, a Spanish language recording, I had planned to release another Spanish language song and I will in 2018, but I thought with so much horrible news lately, "The Dating Game" story always makes people, laugh and smile and scratch their heads.....lol". The music video will be released worldwide on Thanksgiving Day and the Date Review to follow on Christmas Day! "It's a challenge, the footage is very old, recorded off the air, and survived years in a storage bin in Queens". Wise who turns 60 on 12/17/17 has released 1 album "SONGBOOK", eight singles, and numerous music videos. He also appears in "The Grand Romantic" a short film, playing a vocal coach to "Fun's" Nate Reuss.

In early 2017 Joseph Lorenzo received a grant from the Grammy Foundation, The Recording Academy and MusiCares. "I was blown away, my discography, and music videos, qualified for a grant from the Grammy's. That is why I just keep recording and singing and writing, things continue to happen.
