Theatricians Theater Group presents DOG SEES GOD: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead by Bert V. Royal, directed by Josh Heisler, now through December 16, 2012, in  The Complex Hollywood's Ruby Theatre.

Pigpen is a jock. Schroeder is an outcast. Peppermint Patty and Marcy rule the school with a “Mean Girls” mentality. Linus smoked his blanket. And Snoopy is dead.

If Charlie Brown thought kicking that football was hard, wait till he tries surviving a hormone infused high school war-zone.

The unlicensed parody DOG SEES GOD joins the Peanuts gang a decade after the events of the classic comic, and the world around them is a little more complex than the Sunday funnies. This sharp and scathing comedy from Bert V. Royal (“Easy A”) finds the beloved and formerly sacred characters dealing with crises of sexual identity, bullying, substance abuse, mortality, and hardest of all, growing up.

A portion of the proceeds from each performance will benefit the It Gets Better Project. Promoting tolerance and giving hope to LGBT youth. For more information, visit www.itgetsbetter.org.

The show runs Thursday - Sunday 8pm. Tickets $25. Go to www.theatricians.com.
