For the second production of its 2013 season, Theatre of NOTE is working with Theatre Movement Bazaar in presenting the world premiere of Hot Cat May 3-June 1, directed and choreographed by Tina Kronis, text by Richard Alger. Hot Cat is an original play created with the unique talents of Theatre Movement Bazaar, featuring performers from Theatre of NOTE's ensemble, using a synthesis of dance and theatre, a mixture of comedy and philosophy to create an original and proactive theatrical experience.

Theatre Movement Bazaar has been entrancing audiences around the world for thirteen years. Now they are bringing their theatrical approach to NOTE to recreate an American classic inspired by the work of Tennessee Williams. Hot Cat explores the mendacity in family dynamics, unrequited sexual yearnings, mortality and sibling rivalriesvia TMB's unique combination of text and movement.

Hot Cat will preview Saturday April 27 and Thursday May 2, and will open on Friday May 3 at 8pm. It will run through Saturday June 1st at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd. (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood. In addition, this production will also be featured at Theatre of NOTE during the 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Theatre Movement Bazaar (TMB) is an interdisciplinary company dedicated to creating original performance works. The company began in 1997 as a collaboration between choreographer/director/performer Tina Kronis, and mechanical engineer/writer/filmmaker Richard Alger. TMB has produced thirteen original works, garnering critical attention and presenting its work across the US and in the UK. Led by principal artists Kronis + Alger, TMB's award-winning productions have merged dance, theatre, design, and cinema to create provocative story telling with an emphasis on physical action. Look for TMB's 2013 hit, TRACK 3, revived in July at the Bootleg Theatre before going to Edinburgh and London. For more information go to the their website www.TheatreMovementBazaar.org.
