Theatre of NOTE kicks off its 2012 season with the world premiere ofFIGURE 8 -- Seven Deadly Sins Plays written by Phinneas Kiyomura and directed by Jerry Kernion and Phinneas Kiyomura. FIGURE 8 was work-shopped and developed in NOTEworthy, Theatre of NOTE's ongoing staged reading and play development series. FIGURE 8 will preview Friday, February 17th and Saturday, February 18th, and will open on Friday, February 24th at 8pm and run through Saturday, March 24th at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd. (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.
FIGURE 8 – Seven Deadly Sins Plays is a world premiere production that writer, and L.A. native, Phinneas Kiyomura constructed using the seven deadly sins as a springboard, weaving together eight different stories of ordinary sinners fighting, flailing and fornicating their way through what passes for normal life in modern day Southern California. Traveling up the 5 freeway and along a fractured timeline, Figure 8 turns the very notion of sin 'round upon itself.
