Pasadena's Theatre @ Boston Court has announced its 2011 season lineup, which will include a world premiere play along with a collaboration with the CalArts School of Theatre on a production of Tennessee Williams' "Camino Real," according to the LA Times.
The upcoming season will feature four mainstage productions, with each scheduled for a four-week run. Williams' "Camino Real" is set to open Feb. 12 and will be directed by Jessica Kubzansky, co-artistic director of the company. The play, written in 1953, takes places in an imaginary walled-in city where characters from literature and history mix with entirely fictional characters.Fin Kennedy's 2005 play "How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found" will open April 30. The play is based on the book of the same title by Dough Richmond and will be directed by Nancy Keystone.On July 23, the theater will present the world premiere of "Witness Uganda," conceived and written by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews. The production, directed by Matthews, is a musical based on a true story about an African American actor from New York who goes to Uganda to do volunteer work.Videos
