The Upcyclers Take Interactive Theatre To A New Level

A group of ordinary kids take on a super task of helping their parents save their family's diner and then the world! With their innovative sustainable practices they prove no one and no task is too small to make a BIG difference!

While The Zoo Theatre Co. has produced original plays and musicals geared towards teens and adults, the creators, Daniel Sugimoto and Julia Lisa have an extensive background of children's theatre for the whole family! They spent 6 years writing, performing, and teaching children's theatre around Los Angeles for companies such as Creating Arts Company, Theatricum Botanicum, Fairies and Dragons, and more. Their new original musical Upcyclers empowers kids to challenge the norms to create a greener life. Come play, sing, dance, and create the world YOU want to live in with the Upcyclers!

This new interactive musical movement is hitting the Los Angeles stage scene Summer 2018, but before it does The Upcyclers are heading to communities near you! JOIN THE TEAM as they clean up our beaches, parks, and neighborhoods from trash to UPCYCLE! You can join our rescue missions by creating your own special task force of Fantastic Friends, a Dynamic Duo, or be a Solo Super and pick your assignment.

All sets, props, and costumes for this super show will be Reused, Recycled, and Upcycled with materials rescued from our missions!
